It's The Summer! Time For More Art!

Hello, I hope you are all having a fab summer.

In August I won't be at any markets, I realised last year that the summer is not a great time of year for me to sell artwork. People are away, entertaining kids, and spending money on days out, childcare or holidays. Due to this dip in sales, I've decided to leave August just for making things, visiting family and relaxing.

This August I have a few commissions to be getting on with, as well as making new stock for future markets. I am even preparing for Christmas. As a small business owner and market trader, it is truly never too early to prepare for Christmas.

One new item I am currently making are magnets. Similar to the badges that I have previously made; I make these out of Fimo, then hand paint individual designs on them. Each magnet is unique and handmade, and hopefully spread a little joy and silliness. So far the designs have been of cat faces, Shakespearian cats and Babushka cats.

I have also experimented in making earrings. Little Babushka cat earrings. I have used earring fittings that I have kept hold of for a long time, so I am not sure of metal allergens, so will probably just keep these as a trial. If this is something that is appealing to anyone out there, then please let me know, as I had lots of fun making them.

I am excited to sell my new magnets, and other creations at markets when I am back! So far my first Market back is 21st September Tobacco Factory.
